After attending UC Davis, Marcus worked for a top-rated independent repair shop in Napa, California, for 7 years, working his way up from shop assistant to service manager and learning the service side of the auto repair business. He left the automotive field and ran a successful mortgage business in California and Nevada for many years, thinking his auto repair days were behind him. However, after moving to Carson City with his wife and two kids in 2006, he was unable to find a dealership or independent shop that lived up to his expectations. In December of 2008, he heard that Capitol Automotive was for sale. On a whim, he looked at the shop, and it was purchased and running under his leadership within 30 days. In his spare time, Marcus enjoys cycling, anything involving the Sierra Nevada, and shuttling teenagers to various sport and school activities.

ASE Master Technician

Tony brought 35 years of experience to Capitol Automotive when he joined the team in 2011. For over 20 of those years he has been an ASE Master Technician.

Tony spends his off hours doing dog rescue volunteer work. He loves pit bulls, and will show you a picture of his dog, Petey, on your next visit to the shop. Like several others at Capitol Automotive, Tony has a love of cycling. He likes to start his workday with a cup of coffee, a dog walk, a kiss to his wife, and a bike ride to work.

VW & Audi Factory Master Technician

Bob is a technician with over 17 years experience. Has been a Volkswagen certified technician since 2001. Bob received his VW Master’s Certification in 2018. The Automotive industry runs deep in his family. Bob’s father and brother are also in the field.

Bob loves spending time with his family in his off time. Trying new restaurants, and seeing new movies. Working out in the yard and grilling is one of his favorite tings to do as well.
