I started researching automotive places about 5 months ago, reading reviews, driving by and looking at the exteriors. Trust is very important to me and I had to find a trustworthy place to leave my van. Capitol Automotive has been in business for decades. I used to walk by it on my way to work 40 years ago. It looked like a clean place, there is a fenced yard across the street for cars left overnight and it is centrally located near downtown vs way out on Arrowhead. My van has been in twice for extensive work. My tire guy will question the work that was done but I was provided pictures of things that were leaking, dirty or broken. The service guys are extremely knowledgeable and very nice. They answered all the questions and concerns I had, which were many since I am not very knowledgeable about car stuff! While my van was in the shop for a total of 8 days, John communicated with me by e-mail and phone with status and cost. Sometimes it takes a week or two to get an appointment but that says a lot to me that they are busy and so many people in the Carson City area trust them with their vehicles. I even got a deal on my rental car because it was at Capitol Automotive! A pleasant surprise. To me, the cost was not as important as the trust I have with the work has been done. Excellent warranty as well, best in town. I highly recommend Capitol Automotive.
