Too expensive😭 $153 only for diagnostic is not fair In reply to the comment of the Capital automotive. Review is my rights and it’s not must that my review should be as you want. I m not complaining about the work I just complained about the cost which is too expensive and I didn’t write any lie After a bad review, calling me and talking to me in a disrespectful way and telling me to come and pick up my car will not hide the truths Thank you Service: Transmission

I gave you the estimate of $153 to diagnose your transmission trouble. This was for an hour of testing by our master technician and I explained that was a worse-case scenario. You stated that was too expensive and left. However, you just came into our office again and said you changed your mind and dropped off your car. Right after you dropped off your car we received this review. We have not started any work on your vehicle. I feel this may either be some sort of set up; or a situation in which we will be unable to please you. We never want our customers to feel they are overcharged. I clearly did not do a good job explaining the value of our diagnosis. There is most likely another shop in town that will diagnosis your transmission for a lower rate. Please come and pick up your vehicle. Thank you.

The price of everything is double Service: Check engine light diagnostic

Hi Tom, typically I begin a response to a 1 star review with " I am sorry I let you down". However, I don't see in my system that you have ever called or asked us for a quote. Our team works hard on giving accurate quotes, and I do not believe we are the low price leader, but what we do deliver is long term cost savings by only recommending services and repairs that your vehicle needs. If you would like us to give you quote for the repair of your vehicle, please call or send us a message. I believe you have us mixed up with another shop.

To keep a long story short I live in the Tahoe area and I’m a heavy equipment mechanic and normally don’t take any of my vehicles to anyone for repairs but my wife being pregnant and me working crazy hours at the time of an emergency repair, I decided to to put my trust into Capitol automotive after researching shops locally and down the hill and had them replace a cylinder head on my wife’s vehicle. So happy I found these folks. A breath of fresh air for me in the somewhat complicated auto repair experiences over the last several months.
